According to Relocation.com's survey of relocation trends for 2008, Atlanta is still a top pick for relocation.
Las Vegas ranked at the top of the list, despite plunging housing values: "Las Vegas was followed in popularity by Denver, Charlotte, N.C., Phoenix/Mesa, Portland, Ore., Seattle, Orlando, Fla., Washington, D.C., Atlanta and Tampa Bay/St. Petersburg. The results are largely consistent with 2007."
And despite the country's depressing real estate news over the past couple of years, some states continue to see rising relocation rates, including Georgia, which saw a 36% rise in relocation requests.
The proof lies in the numbers and numbers don't lie - as Georgia's relocation numbers continue to rise (as well as those of North and South Carolina and Florida) the state will see enough growth to pick up an additional seat in the House of Representatives.
