According to's survey of relocation trends for 2008, Atlanta is still a top pick for relocation.

Las Vegas ranked at the top of the list, despite plunging housing values: "Las Vegas was followed in popularity by Denver, Charlotte, N.C., Phoenix/Mesa, Portland, Ore., Seattle, Orlando, Fla., Washington, D.C., Atlanta and Tampa Bay/St. Petersburg.  The results are largely consistent with 2007."

And despite the country's depressing real estate news over the past couple of years, some states continue to see rising relocation rates, including Georgia, which saw a 36% rise in relocation requests.

Thanks, Bonnie and David! I know what you mean - the media definitely doesn't help with the housing market. A little positive news once in awhile would probably convince me to watch the news more often!
