Can Anyone Help me to get REO listings in Port St. Lucie Florida???

I have been trying for several months to get involved listing REO properties. I've signed up on several sites, even some that want you to pay claiming that they will put you in front of assest managers, but I've yet to see any results. I've also signed up to complete BPO's in hopes to get listings, but again nothing but millions of BPO requests. It seem like all the assest management companies want agents that are experienced in listing REO's but none of them seem to be willing to give you a chance. I am and have been a top producer in  my market since I started in 2005. This past year I even earned the 100% club status for RE/MAX, but still no REO experience. Can anyone help me get started????

Andrew,  I can't tell you how many people in my area are asking how to get REO listings in my area.  I usually tell them you need to go back in time...to two years ago.  Then start working your tail off to do BPOs, and then MAYBE you might get a listing or two once in a while.  There are more agents looking for this type or work than there is work.  And, nine times out of ten, the banks list with agents they have worked with before the meltdown.  Sorry.  Just wanted to let you not to get your hopes up too high.  Give it a shot though.  But, agents who already do this work are not likely to want to give you a hand, cuts into the profit!  Good luck!

A fellow Realtor.

I did literally thousands of BPO's and I cleaned other Realtor's REOs and trashed out some bad houses and scrubbed the toilets to make ends meet between the top of the market and what looks like the bottom before one asset manager recognized my working knowledge of this area.

Those BPO request that you looked at like it was a hassel, I neeeded to literally feed my family.

Enjoy the work you have an OPPORTUNITY to have and be content... then maybe you will get more.

With respect.
