Since I absolutely love the idea of promoting one another when we can, I've started a new project called "Twitter Friend of the Week." Each week, I'll showcase one or two of my Twitter Friends so that you can "meet" them.
One of this week's featured Twitter Friends is Bobby Carroll of Dakno Marketing. Here's what Bobby had to tell us:
What is your primary business?
Real estate marketing for agents and agencies including website/blog design and development, SEO consultation, brand development, design, blog coaching, PPC management, and social media consulting.
What is unique about you or your business?
High-touch boutique marketing shop that is totally geared for the agent or agency. We are wildly passionate about offering value to our friends. As licensed Realtors, Brad and I understand how agents think and what tools they need to differentiate themselves online and offline in their markets.
What is one fun thing about yourself that most of us don't know?
My wife and I are huge snorkel freaks. We love to travel and I love photography. I'm able to marry all these activities together for one big rush!
Do you work from home or an outside office?
Outside office mostly, but occasionally I work from home.
What is your favorite computer application?
Just starting to get Adobe Lightroom. Yes, it's pretty elementary as programs go but I really want to "get it" to help with my photography addiction.
What is your favorite food?
I'm all about seafood and would eat it every day if I could. Yellow tuna, grouper, mahi-mahi and flounder are my favorites along with shrimp. I don't care how it's prepared either. It's all good to me.
If you could be a super hero, what would you be called and what would your super powers be? SocialPath Man. I would penetrate every real estate agent's brain and command (lead them down the PATH) proper involvement in social media. I'd commend them to use tools like FB, LinkedIn, Flickr, and Twitter properly when they begin their involvement in these communities.
What one piece of advice would you give someone who wants to get into your line of business?
What is the follow link for one of yourTwitter Friends who you think everyone would benefit from following and why should we follow them? I've had the pleasure of meeting Bobby in person and I can tell you that he is the real deal - he walks the talk! Other than my personal recommendation, you should follow him on Twitter just because he's a great guy! @rewebcoach
Walk a mile in the shoes of your customers and learn what they do in their world. That way you can begin to develop answers to their pain points. Focus on a niche and learn it inside out! Be a specialist!
@waynesutton - This guy is saturated with knowledge about technology and social media. Wayne is the real deal. Not some sort of social media guru who thinks he is a Rock Star.
