Just when you think that Real Estate was the wrong profession (especially in today's times) someone tells you a story that makes you laugh so hard, you remember how much fun and satisfaction you can gain from being in Real Estate.
I am in need of hearing some of those great story "snippets". I have a few, but I know that there are so many more out there that are far funnier than mine. Please consider replying to this blog with great "short stories" related to the real estate business, no matter if they are funny or just plain un-believable!
I will give just a quick one:
I came across an Agent that had just had a very successful closing on a fairly high-end home. When she called her Buyer's to see how they were settling in and if the house was meeting all their expectations, she never imagined their reply. It seems that after a very busy day of moving, they managed to set up the TV and the comfortable furniture so they could relax with a drink before retiring for the evening.
While relaxed in an overstuffed chair with her leg up over the side, the wife decided to start opening the drawers and cabinet doors of the large built-in wall unit adjacent to their seating area. She couldn't believe it when she looked in the otherwise empty drawer of the wall unit and saw a large quantity of human "nail clippings". Now this quantity was not from one moment of laziness in fetching the trash, this appeared to be accumulated over a very long period of time! Needless to say, she closed the drawer and retired trying not to think about what she had found, vowing to get the vacuum out first thing in the morning.
