Boy the money sure is disappearing isn't it? Homes are losing their value because foreclosures are driving the market and determining the price of ALL homes that are listed. Buyers on the other hand are few and far between. Fear is keeping potential buyers from entering the market because many don't know if they'll have a job next week or not. Banks have tightened up the qualifying guidelines and buyers that were good not to long ago now can't get a loan. I spoke to a buyer today and he said that the banks weren't returning his calls, amazing.
That being said, for those of you who are in the same boat, you need to look at other options now, not later. It won't do you any good to try to ride this out if you can't afford to do it for what may be years. This mess isn't going to get better any time soon, so lets do something together, I'll help you out.
December 2008, this option "B", that I'm doing promoted 179 people from all over the country to Regional Sales Manager. These 179 people are now positioned to make a very good 5 digit income (see the title again) and only working part time. The guy I work with from Lansing named Matt, works between 15 to 20 hours a week and makes conservatively $200,000.00+ a year. (that will get your teeth fixed won't it?) Don't get me wrong, I'm not saying that everyone will make that kind of money, some will make more, much more, and some will make less. Just like Real Estate, you will get out of it what you put into it, but if you don't look at it and join, you'll never make anything with it.
I'm just sharing an option with those that are worried about the future for themselves and their families. If things are going good for you and you're cool with things, then my hats off to you. I'm worried and I'm doing something else part time to make up for what I've lost in this Michigan Real Estate Market. Let me know if you want to check this out.
