To Many Real Estate Agents?

By
Real Estate Agent with RE/MAX South Shore Realty

I was recently reading Seth Godin's Blog about "Advice for Real Estate Agents, Quit Now". It was very enlightning. Especially since I just received the 4th Quarter 2008 Kenst Real Estate Report for the Greater Tampa Association of Realtors. Scanning through the report I was amazed on how many real estate agents in our board only sold one home in 2008. How can any real estate agent survive on only one sale in a year? I don't know how many agents didn't sell a home in 2008, the report doesn't show that number. But it must be high. NAR has shown a decrease in membership over the past year, so this is a good start. Lets hope that this continues through 2009 and beyond.

My advice-if they are only dabbling in the business-get out and leave it to the pros.  If they are really trying to make it but are new-give it 110 percent for two years.  If you are still not making any money-it may be time to try something new.

Ed they are dropping like flys!  Which is fine with me.  There are way to many people out there that just "played with it".
