It is coming..soon; too soon for some....not soon enough for others.
Commercials for New Large Flat Screen TV's are abundant:
One cannot go into a grocery store without seeing all the signs;
Families are planning to gather at the house with the most ROOM
most FOOD
AND....
the biggest TV around.
Presents under the tree----wait, wait ...wrong gathering:
It is almost Here------Super Bowl 2009!@
All that I want to know is:
WHERE IS LOUIE?
NO WAY.....
UH--UH...
HEY, HEY....HERE IS LOUIE
Now what's missing:
THE 3 THREE FROGS:
you know...BUD,...WIS.....ER
You see, I don't like the Game, the Hype, the "National" past time, or the discussions on:
who will have a 'wardrobe malfunction this year...if you believe that was an error...we, in Michigan,
a a Bridge that everyone keeps offering to those who are looking for the 'fantastic'.
But, I digress: Furthermore, I miss:
the "Taco Dog" remember..."I think I'm goin' to need ...a bigger box>>>"
Nope, this is the Maytag Dog
There are so many other fun commercials that are no longer being used. BUT
Most shown today are "stupid Male, Man, Husband" types; (guys, how can you stand these)
or: the Helpless Female who cannot:
----open a jar
----flip pancakes
----drain pasta
----fry eggs
without some magic utensil. ( ladies. unite, we can DO many things & walk & talk at the same time)
I long for the silly commercials like :
"I love you, man"....."...you're not getting my Bud Light"
or "Where's the BEEF" with Clara;
Hopefully we will see: the Aflac Duck ;
..... the Geigo Gecko;
and some fun new commercials. along with a good halftime show..and, of course, for those of you
who wait for this Game to come every year-----a GREAT Game, with good food, friends & Family around.
