Darcy's Grandmother was very talented at needlework. Unfortunately alzheimers has taken that beautiful talent and most of her memories away. Several years ago she made me a canvas that has a saying on it:
I can only please
one person per day.
Today is not
your day.
Tomorrow is not
looking good either.
This has become one of my prized posessions. The message is an oxymoron for the business that I have chosen to pursue. We are in the business of pleasing people, or are we? Sure we should satisfy our customers and build lasting relationships built on trust and capability. Our first responsibility is to protect our client's fiduciary position.
Sure we have to have a good relationship, but is that pleasing them? Is it more pleasing to a client if we zealously market their property or search for the property that we are looking for them. Then to be even more zealous in protecting their interests in the deal? I am posing this question to my peers, you on Active Rain. Which makes a better lasting impression on the client? I welcome your feedback!
