Rainbow World!

                             Rainbow World!

While riding in a friend's car the other day, I noticed that when I looked out the passenger side window, everything I saw was covered in rainbow colors. I realized my polarized sunglasses had something to do with it, but it didn't happen in my car. So the type of tinting on her car windows must also have had something to do with it. Then I wondered if I could capture the colors with my camera. So, I attached a circular polarizing filter, and shot through the car window. I found if I turned the filter, I could change the colors. These two photos are the result! They were taken from the ridge on Rampart Range, outside of Woodland Park. The first photo is of Pikes Peak.

Hi Debe-What beautiful pics those are. You are a real clever gal. Great job. I wonder if that is what the sky looks like after a few margaritas or spiked ginger ale. :-)

Very beautiful photographs and I remember getting sick when I was very young when our family went up to Pikes Peak, no air up there!

Hi Robert, Yes, I hear that alot.  They say it takes a month to get used to it, and a year to fully aclimate. When you take the cog railroad up, they bring you back down after 40 minutes. Any more than that at the top of the Peak could cause brain damage to some folks, especially very young children...Not that I'm insinuating anything!!!!  LOL  My mother has to take medication when she comes to visit, I'm at 8400 ft.

Hi Debi,  Did your friend get a weird tint job ....or what!! If I had to look out those windows with rainbows...well, I might start to worry who put what in my drink ! LOL!! Very interesting!! At least the camera verified what you were seeing!! Very cool photographs!

These pics are really cool, but you know what is even cooler? Now that you are focused on your photography related business, you could post photos all day and all night, and it would all be relevant!  No more posts about interest rates or short sales or any of that stuff, just COOL PICS!

Mary, I was thrilled when the camera captured the colors.....for a lot of reasons!

Cheryl, Yes, true! Trouble is, I still have alot to say, so you will all have to continue to put up with me when I get a whim!

Toula, Excellent idea! That just might do the trick :)

Hello Ms D...ivine:  Those are pretty cool shots...aren't you the curious one.  You know what they say "curiosity killed the cat.....but satisfaction brought herback".  So here we are, loving it for all it's worth.  Hey, thanks a bunch for your input on my Google screenshot, it still doesn't make sense...then again much of it doesn't.  Have a wonderful weekend :-)

Myrl, So very true! Can't tell you how delighted I was to get these shots! Not that the quality thru the glass was the greatest, just that it was something unexpected! Thanks for stopping by.
