Where else would you like to sell real estate?

Real Estate Agent with Smart Referral Network, LLC

As a Phoenix native, I've experienced plenty of sunshine and warm weather.  I've only ever lived and worked in the Valley.  While we have our share of stunning custom homes and historic districts, we also have a sea of tract subdivsions as far as the eye can see.

Over New Year's, my family took a ski trip to Telluride and we stayed in a beautiful town - Ouray, CO.  It's also known as The Switzerland of America.

Strolling by the Victorian buildings on Main Street on New Year's Day, I had to pick up a real estate booklet.  So different from the hot, dry desert I sell in, I wondered what it would be like to sell real estate there.

Agents - where else would you like to sell real estate?  Where did you most enjoy selling real estate if you've worked in multiple markets?

Wow that does look amazing. If I moved anywhere not sure I could cut it but I would like to sell real estate in New York City that city has my heart.

Hi Heather - thanks for stopping by.  I've never been to Orlando, but will be attending a conference there on the 18th of February.  Yes, it would be a totally different experience to sell in NYC.

I'm in Northwest Arkansas now which is lots of green, homes in the woods or around lakes. Before this til 05' I lived 20 years in Vegas which is just like your Az. situation. Tracts tracts tracts. But after a few years now I miss the desert so much, and the stucco and the tile roofs. Who da thought?

Rob - really?  What makes you miss the desert?  Are you in the Ozarks up there in NW Arkansas?  I have a lot of family down in the SW corner.  Arkansas is a beautiful state.  Thanks for your feedback!

Rob, My experience is just the opposite. I'm originally from Boston and now live in Arizona. I miss the green, the snow, the wood homes, and interesting architecture out East.

Sean - interesting architecture - what's that?  I'm kidding.  I've never lived in snow or really known seasons, but it doesn't seem right when I have to run the A/C when cooking Thanksgiving dinner or wearing summer clothes at Christmas time!  Of course, I do love when the weather is mild, so this is my favorite time of the year here.  Thanks!

Stephanie, I've been selling real estate for over 15 years now. I started in Chicago, in the suburbs and then moved to Nashville 2 years later. I've always enjoyed it but Nashville has always seemed more like home.

What beautiful pictures.  I sell around Kentucky Lake and it has some beautiful spots, too, but not quite like Colorado.  I would have to always sell around water - I would miss the beautiful views!

Hi Stephanie, Fun topic! For me it would be anywhere with lots of interesting, historic houses.  I really like architecture and old houses of various vintages so the Cambridge real estate market suits me perfectly. Other places I think I would enjoy would include San Francisco, Savannah, Charleston and Chicago.

Funny, but when I go for a walk I always opt for a walk that takes me past great houses rather than a walk in the woods, or a park etc - nothing against nature but I just love looking at architecturally interesting houses.  I lived in New Haven and still have the two photo albums of the beautiful houses I passed on my daily walk - and no photos of my former coworkers!!

Connie - After spending time in the South on every summer vacation growing up - I think I would eaily feel at home there, too.  And I LOVE Nashville.

Jennifer - Selling homes on the water is something else that would be awesome!

Elizabeth - how funny!  Now that I think about it, every time I take a trip, I usually end up taking photos of the homes there.  I guess we've found our calling.  I never get tired of looking at homes anywhere.

Trey - Telluride is definitely a neat town, too.  The trip from Ouray over the mountain to Telluride in the summer is supposed to be awesome.  Have you done that?

Mirela - Now that's the kind of traffic jam I think most of us could live with.  Thank for the hints and the place at the top.  I joined the groups you mentioned and am going to add a few extra photos.  Photos in the comments would be a bonus.
