Nova Scotia: the World’s Overlooked Island Paradise

By
Real Estate Agent with Exit Realty Optimum

I found this great article on Nova Scotia's Private Islands, by Liam Gladstone. I wanted to share it with all our American and Canadian friends. Many think that Nova Scotia is at the end of the world. Some think we live in Igloo's.

This article might bring some insight, to those who are not familiar what Nova Scotia Offers. It is beautiful here, not that cold, like many think, in fact, on average, Nova Scotia has the warmest temperatures in Canada. We are basically one large Island, only connected by 11 KS of real estate, to New Brunswick.

If you look at a map of England, you can match our coast line, to that of England. Nova Scotia broke off millions of years ago, and if you look closely, at the maps, Nova Scotia coastline fits almost perfectly to the coastline of England. The article shows the hidden Paradise of Nova Scotia. Have a read, and discover our beauty.

Hi Melva, how are you doing? I don't get any points for this article, but I was so impressed by this article, I just had to post it for all to see. It's people like you who make Nova Scotia such a beautiful place. I promise, I will do an article soon on Cape Breton, and really impress people when they see the beauty there. Cape Breton was voted a while back, as one of the top ten places to visit in the world. Talk to you soon.

100% representation means NEVER DUAL AGENCY !

Joey, New Brunswick also gets painted with the igloo and mail delivery by dogsled fallacy.

By the way that little piece of real estate is the Isthmus of Chignecto and back in the 1800's they considered building a canal and almost built a "ship railway" across the isthmus.

Hi Joey

Just this morning, before I logged on to AR and saw this, I was online ordering the tourism guides to Nova Scotia and PEI as we are planning a visit hopefully this summer.  I've always wanted to visit the east coast and have had several friends and clients move that direction over the last decade.  Clearly you've got something very special and I can't wait to find it out myself!  (Of course I also want to meet Larry in New Brunswick so maybe two trips are in order!)

Hi Larry, Thanks for the reply. I guess in retropect, I should have included all the maritimes, since we are all misunderstood, in relation to our geography, lifestyle, and of course our climate. All of the Maritime Provinces offer breath taking scenery, many attractions, and, what I like to brag about the most, are the people....which in my opinion, makes the Maritimes a fantastic place to live.

Cheers, and keep warm,

Joey

I'm Already Sold - I look get a newsletter of listings emailed to me and I drool over Annapolis Royal and area every Wednesday.    One day, I'll be there for sure! First I need to sell a bit more real estate.
