After an eight year absence, D. Scott Peterson recently rejoined award-winning master planner and development company, Costa Pacific Communities, to manage the land development and vertical construction activities as well as the entitlement procurement at the company's new Villebois Village Center in Wilsonville, Oregon.
In 1996, Peterson joined Costa Pacific as Vice President and member of the company's award-winning management team that planned and executed Orenco Station in Hillsboro, Ore. With more than 30 years experience in real estate development and construction, he has participated in the construction of more than 10,000 homes, including single family, townhomes, condominiums, apartments and student housing. Peterson also has extensive experience in retail, hotel and industrial building construction.
After a short career with the Texas Rangers Baseball Organization, Peterson began his real estate career with the Robert Randall Company of Portland in 1977. Under the tutelage of one of the Pacific Northwest's finest construction teams, Peterson gained valuable knowledge regarding estimating, purchasing and constructing Class A apartments.
In the early 1980s, he was recruited by a national developer in Texas where he became Vice President of Construction for 12 years, supervising the company's land procurement, entitlement processes, managing consultants, constructing and finally managing property in the south, southeast and southwest parts of the country.
