MySpace? Is it worth the time?

In a great training/introduction seminar put on by Brad Andersohn Brad AndersohnI noticed he was remiss at mentioning a thing about MySpace. I had a blog going there awhile back. I copied and pasted an e-mail from my son-in-law who was in Iraq at the time. He said where he was going to be. I received two very concerned e-mails the next day. One accusing me of aiding the enemy with his position and the other saying I wasn't patriotic. But besides that, Google captured that information immediately. If it's that good on MySpace, why not use MySpace as another portal for SEO?

I also have tried to do the interface with Twitter, following Brad's instructions, almost. Seems the screens have changed a bit and I couldn't find "My Settings" after I went to "My Home"

Not sure of the MySpace thing... I think that has taken a back seat to FaceBook...

I think we should use everything at our disposal....I went to a trainging that talks about it, but I haven't researched it too much. I have an old My Space that I got to monitor my kids.

I have a myspace account that I have tried to use for networking but it is just so slow to navigate and frustrating.  I agree with Robert, it has taken a backseat to Facebook, which I have had success with finding old friends and new clients.

I used Myspace a lot when my son was in Iraq, updating family photos and events there so he could be part of what was going on at home.  I did some business stuff there too but overall I find facebook a better venue.  I too use twitter.

Just started on Twitter because I am a text-message addict!  Not enough hours in the day for all this fun stuff AND work!

Hey Stephen -  the link has changed, it now just says "settings".  You can setup your twitter account there.  The only reason we didn't discuss MySpace was that we only had 4 hours and already ran out of time. lol

I'm not a real fan of MySpace but that doesn't mean it can't work for social networking and endulging the SEO.  Scary the stuff that happens on myspace, your example is another classic.   :-)

Brad, good to hear back from you! This Blogging is addictive! My goal is to be top 20 in Nebraska by the end of the day. Is there a list that shows how many points the others in Nebraska have?

You can search the states link at the top of any AR page and find your state, then see the members in that state and their point accumulation.  I would focus on Content instead of points, the business will come and get you more than the points ever will.  I also understand your sickness about wanting to be in the top 20 in your area, I had to take medication for that too!  lol~  :-))
