Busy? You Betcha!

Services for Real Estate Pros with Positive Real Estate Professionals

I wanted to write this post because I have been a scarce presence on Active Rain since late December. It is important to let the followers and occasional readers of my Active Rain blog know that I am not gone nor am I leaving Active Rain. I am happy to say that I have been extremely busy in both my personal and professional life; and yes this is a very good thing.

First the personal, I was in Hawaii for a little over a week for my youngest brother, David's wedding. If you have seen my last three Wordless Wednesday posts, you have seen three images of the big island, Kona. If not and you would like to see the photos simply click HERE, HERE, and HERE! I am ecstatic for my brother and his beautiful and smart wife Brittany to be beginning their life together. As they are both just excellent people I am sure that they will have a long and loving life together. The photo to the left is them at their wedding.

Second, business has been quite brisk. I wrote a post today entitled The Good News! on one of my Rich Talks Real Estate blog that I am dedicating much of my internet time to. As a mortgage professional, I am seeing an upswing in mortgage business in the past six weeks because, I believe, of the very things I mention in that article. On another business front the several of my joint ventures with Danny Thornton have been steadily increasing in business. Our R & D Art website which is geared at building, hosting, and technical support of websites and blogsites has really taken off. You can see a couple examples of our work: Upstate S.C. Today and Oregon Real Estate Queen; there are more examples linked to from the R & D Art homepage. And now, beginning on February 2, 2009 we will be offering classes on a wide range of subjects from basic HTML scripting to the effective use of various social medias. In addition both our Positive Real Estate Professionals website and Athletic Alley website are really growing in terms of both unique visitors and views. The Alexa rank dropping quickly and the Google Page Rank increasing are a direct result of our contributing writers' efforts as well as our own. And finally we have a couple more major projects in the works as well.

With all that said I have made a conscious decision to lessen the amount of time and effort I dedicate to my Active Rain blog. I do still plan to contribute articles to my Active Rain blog just not as often as I had been. I find that I am having better results with my efforts outside the Rain; though I fully understand and appreciate this may not be the case for everyone. I will be doing what works best for me. Please feel free to read the posts on my other blogs or look for my updates on Facebook, Myspace, Twitter, Stumble Upon, and Reddit.

Ricih - I am so glad that your other endeavors are so productive.  It's good to hear positive things relating to business in general, especially since there are so many purveyors of doom out there.  I'll look forward to your posts, as always.  I'll just have to adjust to fewer of them.  :)

Rich, Lucky you, business AND travel--my two favorite things!  I'm glad to hear you're doing so well, I have had to cut back my time on here as well....but for all good reasons!

Congrats to you-for being able to get away to Hawaii (I am stuck in freezing weather and snow!) and for being busy with business.  Several of my friends in the mortgage field have said the same thing.  The last 4 weeks or so they have been crazy busy after not really being busy for the last couple months.   May it last and last!!

Cindy - Busy and productive is a good combination.

Joan - Great minds...wait how did I get in there <<<smile>>>

Mike - It was very nice. I am happy I was able to go.

Steve - Thankfully they have.

Carol - Thanks. I was actually speaking to someone about that very thing today; that people really need to have the belief that positive things can and will happen in order for them to manifest.

Carole - They are two of my favorites as well. And I had noticed that you have cut back some too.

Danny - It really is.

Debra - Historic low rates equal favorable terms for homeowners to rate and term or streamline refinance in order to lower payments. I really think we will be entering a refi boom that will benefit homeowners with these lowered payments.

Kathy - Thanks! I think that is the most important too.

Betina - I am still here, just a little less.

Rich, so good to have an update from you. I'm sure you had a wonderful visit with your family and a wedding to boot, can't beat that. I've been struggling the last few months, very busy with RE and travel, I needed an AR breather. You certainly have a lot on your plate, I wish you all the best with your business ventures.

Debbie - Your pics from Mexico looked very nice. Seeing family for such a happy occasion was very nice and I understand needing an AR breather. Thanks for the good wishes.

James - It is great to be busy. Never really was one to drink the kool-aid.

Alisha - I am happy you are busy too. I read your post yesterday about learning lessons but haven't been able to comment yet. It was a good post.

Greetings from the North Georgia Mountains!

Rich: What a beautiful couple! I'll bet that was an incredible wedding. Hawaii is one of my favorite places.

I understand completely about moving away from AR...I have had to do the same thing over the past few months. I say with a truly humble and grateful heart that my teammate, Dawn McGuire, and I have been extremely busy over the past few months...busier than we've ever been.  Unfortunately, the downside to that is that I have had precious little time to play in the Rain.

Glad to hear things are going so well for you and Danny.  You are good peeps and deserve every bit of the success that is coming your way...

Please know that my thoughts and good wishes are with you.

Kim - Thank you for your kind words and your continued friendship. I am very glad to hear that you and Dawn are both very busy. BTW, the wedding was beautiful and so was Hawaii.

Warm Summer Memories!
