Spring, Warmer weather; Come February 2nd all eyes will be on Punxsutawney Phil and Groundhog Day

By
Real Estate Agent with Coldwell Banker

It was a long year last year. We all made it through some amazing hurdles. The start of the new year saw it's change and promise of a great New Year to come.

However, it is still blazing cold in Wisconsin, and I can't remember a day going by that it did not snow, or at least a little. It's with all my optimism and thoughts that I really anticipate Groundhog day this year. Come on Punxsutawney Phil , show your stuff. If all goes right it will be Spring before we know it, and buyers will be out in droves buying houses faster than they come on the market.

Groundhog Day is February 2nd in the United States.  It is the day that the Groundhog comes out of his hole after a long winter sleep to look for his shadow.

If he sees it, he regards it as an omen of six more weeks of bad weather and returns to his hole.

If the day is cloudy and, hence, shadowless, he takes it as a sign of spring and stays above ground.

Be sure to visit http://www.groundhog.org/ for all the news, interests, legends, predictions, and more.

Phil this is one year I hope you crawl back into your hole buddy!

See you at closing!

If that bugger DARES to even look cross eyed at his shadow, I will nail his little butt inside his hole and he will be there for an eternity of winters....done with this winter wonderland stuff !

Put 40 years of experience to work for you

I always want that groundhog (see, I can't even spell his name -- good for you for getting it right) to not see his shadow. Except that we really need more rain in Sacramento. We need the water. We're at about 60% of where we should be for this time of year.
