Who knew that when my mom stopped working to study horticulture that the sapling she would nurture and help grow would be her grandson Kieran?
This post is a tribute to the generous spirit of my mother, Linda O'Keefe.
My sister moved to Houston a couple of years ago to have her baby boy and be closer to my parents. She quickly found a beautiful home within walking distance of my parents' home and found a great job close by.
I'll let the pictures help tell the story, but when my sister and father leave for work in the mornings, then my mother's hard work of raising a well-behaved young boy begins!
Kieran is now 18 months old and full of toddler energy! He is constantly on the go and has an enormous vocabulary for his age. He even mimics my mother's British accent when pronouncing certain words. It's very endearing!
By being a full time nanny to Kieran, my mom is really giving the best gifts of love and support to both Kieran and his mother Kelly. I know that my sister really appreciates all of the work and help that my mother contributes. Kelly is a great mom who is working hard to provide for her son.
My mother is my hero for giving so selflessly to her adorable grandson on a full time basis.
Kieran is a lucky boy who will know right from wrong, have an excellent work ethic, and also exquisite table manners. Linda O'Keefe would have it no other way!
Thanks Mom, we all love you very much!
