Blogging, I used to be Snow White....but I drifted!

Blogging is great fun.  The ideas for blogging sometimes come at a place that is hard to keep up with. When I'm on, the ideas flow and sometimes change from the time I create the title and finish my thought, it's an entirely different thought!  Why does that happen?

We are products of 3 things in our lives, the people we meet, the books we read and the places we have been.  Blogging reflects all of these.  Starting out with one thought and ending up with an entirely different bent on the topic isn't so much a lack of focus but a rush of uncontrollable ideas...I want to get them all out.

What is even more strange to me is how sometimes the blogs are interpreted.  I may be going for a response and end up getting something totally different.  Is that because I'm not clear in my thought communication or is it a factor of perception?

Either way it's a good thing.  I work harder to be clear and look forward to seeing how my thoughts are interpreted.

Blogging has a way of increasing our perception, sharpening our reading and writing skills and expanding our minds.

In this age of approaching dementia (for me) that is a good thing!

I find that blogging is kinda like writing in a journal... but a journal sooo many others are going to read.

I find it odd that when I first started blogging here on AR I just wrote to one audience.

NOW as more people respond and contact me sharing with me what they connected with... I find I am now directing my writing to specific audiences.

Absolutely!

Do you ever get to the bottom and then realize that you have no intent to actually post the blog, that just writing it and venting was pure therapy?

I love blogging!

I put blogging posts up under my edit location. Then I can play with them. Or come back to them. Or even delete them.

When I get ideas...I just do a fast outline...or keywords and then type away.

I also think that the more you blog, the better you become at communicating with your 'audience'. Practice does make almost perfect.

Kristal,

I have a very hard time communicating with the written word.  In person, I have an above average command of the English language.  However, when I sit down to write, I think it looses so much of “me”.  I struggle whether I’m doing myself a service with these posts.  The reasons to blog are insurmountable at times.  I fear that I am not accurately displaying my knowledge, or dare I say intelligence.  Did I mention I’m humble?

So at the end of the day, I just keep plugging away at it.  I’m getting better and know that I can only get better with practice.  As I have mentioned before, you encourage me to do better.  Thank you wise one!

Kristal,

I don't think I have ever  misinterpreted any of your blogs.... you are thoughtful, creative and consise... you have a cute way of getting to a point and then, "Thank you very much"... you end the blog......

I find that refreshing to say the least, lady.....

Sara,  Your posts are full of compassion. I can tell you are a very nice person through and through.  IF you aren't satisfied with your representation of yourself, I wonder, how much nicer can you be???

Alex, thanks.  You may have more bullets.  Use them wisely.
