Your comment or feedback on a blog is a communication to a person or in some cases a team of people regarding the subject of the blog. Constructive feedback involves telling someone something good about their blog and/or when appropriate offers an alternative or a different point of view on the blog’s subject, one of its points of discussion, or its findings/conclusions.

Effective Feedback is:

Specific for example you could write: Your blog was written well. The points you made were clear and understandable. Your findings or conclusions were well supported.

Focused on the specifics of the blog mentioned above as well as writing style, interest generated, and perceived value as educational, personal insight, professional interest, news, humor, etc.

Sincerely, honestly, and when appropriate humorously provided.

Shares information and observations

Well timed for example while the subject of the blog is current.

Followed up on when necessary to ensure the blogger understood your comment and to learn if the blog author responded to you with comments that may initiate or engage you in a dialog.

Recognition for a blog well done is a powerful motivator. Most bloggers want recognition, some more than others, so recognition fosters more blogs and more blogs that are well done.

Recognization is good. . but postings on your blog will bring you the biggest compliment in the form of a new client.

Hi Fernando,

I agree that a new client from a blog or received as a referral from an AR colleague is a great form of recognition. However, I don't write a post just to get a new client. In fact if that were the only result from blogging I would feel a significant loss. I value the AR forum in which professionals working in so many different fields of expertise can exchange their ideas. I value their different perspectives, their personal insights, and their associations. Our participation in AR gives us the benefits of a much broader network which includes opportunities to share lessons learned, expand awareness of new ideas, new technology, new laws, humorous stories, personal experiences, etc. It personally enriches me.
