I've heard that before! Then the following line is..."It's who knows you". Well how about: "It's not who you know" it's: "How well you know them and they know you". I believe both. I need people to know me but I need them to know I'm a REALTOR. I'm an ABR Realtor that is ready to help them successfully achieve their real estate goals. I love being my son's mom but I'd also like everyone that knows me as "Austin's mom" to know me as a local real estate expert.
How do you pass the word without people turning the other way when you walk in the room. There's no reason to be out selling real estate all the time. But there's a huge window available to discuss our current market. I love talking about the deals out there. Real estate is on sale and everyone should know!
So what's the importance of knowing your sphere? How can you strike up a conversation if you don't know that their child just got accepted in college or that they just adopted a foster dog? A child leaving the nest may mean it's time to downsize. A new dog may mean a yard is needed. It's absolutely important to put value in your relationships and knowing people is value.
