There are varying levels of staging for empty homes.

I had a call recently asking for general information on staging an empty house. The owner was concerned about the cost of staging because the home is in the country and these homes generally take longer to sell.

So my advice in this kind of situation is that there are 3 levels of staging empty homes and one of them should fit your budget.

Level 1; Add accessories to bathrooms, kitchen and mantles. This will add a touch of warmth and help the buyer imagine their possessions sitting there.

Level 2: Create small vignettes in the important rooms. This involves creating small scenes that will show the buyer the function of the room. It does not fully furnish the room but does require renting a minimal number of pieces of furniture and accessories. Of course the owner also has the option of bringing things from home.

Level3: We fully furnish and accessorize the home.

Staging an empty property can make all the difference.
