Is that a Hibiscus?  I think it must be if not I still like the photo.

Is that an edible flower?  Very nice!  Not that I'm hungry, just asking. : )

Thanks Elaine, I like the color in this one, too.  We need all the color we can get right now.

Our world is white, white, white, with more white coming today.

You know it isn't hibiscus, Terry, but that's OK, you are right sometimes.

Chris, yes, this ornamental cabbage is edible, though more bitter than its cousin, garden Kale.

Also, the pretty parts go grey when cooked. They are nice for garnish or decoration.

Robert, thanks for the nice comment, I do love this shade of pink!

Eleanor, I took this photo in the fall of 2007, if it was today....I couldn't find it!

Sharon, thanks for the compliment and I am glad you enjoyed it.

It kind of looks like a cabbage, but I've never seen one so bright purple. Very nice picture. Thanks for sharing.

Bonnie,

In the pink, and how. That is a very bright, vibrant shade of pink. :)

I love the way kale blooms in the winter.  I do eat Kale...but its the dark green variety.

Johnnie (Logan Utah): It is a cabbage relative, and they come in some pretty wild colors. Thanks for commenting.

Steve: Thanks for commenting, I try to stay in the pink as much as possible.

Mindy & Jay: The decorative kale will only get colors when it is below 50 degrees and a few freezes

increase the color. They will survive down to 5 degrees - one tough & colorful plant.  I like spinach

or swiss chard, kale is not one of my faves.

Thanks, Deborah! I hope all is well with you. I have to get out on AR more. I miss my friends.

Johnathan: It is a type of cabbage, it would be great if it tasted as luscious as it looks.
