On the way to dinner this evening with my Broker (step-father), we came across a stranded citizen!

Now we always go to dinner on Wednesday evening, but a couple of things were dramatically different tonight.

#1.  I drove and picked him up. He has a high performance luxury vehicle that is horrible in snow

#2.  We got pounded all day by snow

#3.  Since I drove, we were Kings of the town in my 4X4 f-150...

 

Anyhow, as we came around a corner, this Honda Accord was struggling on the smallest of hills (FRONT Wheel drive as well... Like I said, Lots of Snow!)  

We hopped right out and got to work... Now it took much longer then we could have imagined, I fell once when I slipped and got a face full of road snow and I wore the wrong gloves so my hands turned snow white and started to sting unmercifully... 

But in the end, this nice lady mentioned to us that she worked at the Childrens Hospital and would have stayed home had it not been for her being needed at the Hospital.

I know we earned some good karma points today and maybe us helping her, helped her help a child!

Awesome Sean! I can think of several laws that apply to the actions you took today. 1) Reciprocity - good deed prompts another in return. 2) You reap what you sow! 3) Give and it shall be given to you, pressed down, shaken together, and running over...

Hi Sean, Well done! I had a flat tire (after hitting a big pot hole). I could feel the car pulling so I pulled over. I called my service & was advised that since it was a holiday the tow truck would take 2 hours to arrive! Just then a good Samaritan pulled up, asked if I needed help & proceeded to change my tire. I found out where he lived & baked him a home made apple pie. Good deeds get rewarded one way or another!

That's awesome. Too many people today "don't want to get involved."  It is sad the state of affairs we find ourselves in.  You just never know.  Her being at the hospital could have been a catalyst that sparked all kinds of great things!

Mmmm, pie sounds good!

 

Kathy,

The sad thing (although we didn't think about it until after the fact), this other car came down another "T" intersection and my truck was blocking the left hand turn and the stuck car was blocking the right hand turn... Now previous to this car coming all the way down to the end of this street, I was manuevering my truck into its current position and happened to see this car coming from way down the street.  So I flashed my brights numerous times and proceeded to back up and park my truck... This Gibroni comes all the way down and proceeds to sit at the corner in their car waiting for 8-10 minutes until I finally needed to thaw my fingers in the heating vents.  Anyway, I dont know who was in that car, but they should not get any pie!

Well done Sean.  I stopped for some guy on Sunday that spun out on 77S by White Pond and almost hit the wall.  He told me that he got cut off but I saw the whole story unfold from behind.  He wasn't paying attention one bit.  I of course did not tell him this but hopped back in the car and continued on.
