7/15/09:  Roswell is now on the Big CreekGreenway.  It is beautiful, the parts they have finished.  They have a covered bridge and a nice wide path.  Don't miss this part of the trail.  We only hope more is coming.  Also Cumming has approximately 4 miles of trails that will eventually connect with The Big Creek Greenway in Alpharetta.  This will be enjoyable for everyone that likes to ride, walk, rollerblade and jog. The water is up but we still need more. Saw an owl on the Roswell portion of the trail.  First time I have seen an owl since I have been going.

1/19/09:  Great news everyone the biking trail has been started on McGinnis Ferry Rd and Fowler Rd in Forsyth County eventually this will connect with the Big Creek Greenway and you will be able to ride from Forsyth County to Alpharetta. Plans for the Forsyth trail will also start on the trail going to the Sawnee Mountain park.  What a wonderful way to start the New Year.

6/26/08:  Well the Big Creek is quite low.  The drought has really affected this wonderful area. However, it is still a joy to bike, walk, or skate.  Let's hope this drought ends soon.

11/12/07:  Went riding this Saturday on the trail.  The Creek is down due to our drought.   However, it is still beautiful.  It was chilly but again it is November and great to ride on the trail.

7/11/07:  The newest extension on the Big Creek Greenway in Alpharetta is almost completed.  You will be able to start the trail at the Fire Station on Kimball Rd. as well as the other access routes.

6/21/07:  Today a Red Tail Hawk sitting watching the Creek for fish.  Beautiful bird.

6/13/07:  Road today after the rain last night.  The creek is up a tad and it was so much cooler riding this morning.  Droplets of water were still falling from the trees.  Not as many people were on the trail this morning. Most of the regulars must have slept in.

6/9/07:  Today I saw a large bird I couldn't identify.  Not a heron but a large bird in the creek with a mate.

6/7/07:  Another great week.  Although Alpharetta, Ga is suffering from a drought situation this area still remains beautiful.  Creek is down some but we are expecting rain next week.  See you on the trails.

5/22/07:  Today I decided to walk the path.  I go alot further on the bike.  However, I got some great pictures.
What do you think?

I am logging 72 miles per week on my bike with this trail.  How about any of you?

5/16/07:  Today I saw 6 deer, 5 rabbits, several Indio Buntings & Cardinals on my ride.  It is still nice and cool riding so I don't need a sweater.  See the same regulars on the trail around the same time.  Really enjoy the nature part of this ride. Great bridges and wonderful scenery.
