What are you reading?

Real Estate Agent with Ruhl&Ruhl Realtors

In this time of reflection and gearing up for the coming year I know a lot of us are turning to books for inspiration. I am almost done with "Shift" as I know several of you are reading or have read. I wanted to share a couple of other titles that I have purchased lately to read or pulled off the shelf to read again. "Make Millions Selling Real Estate" by Jim Remley, "How to Become a Power Agent in Real Estate" and I am currently working on "Perfect Phrases for Real Estate Agents and Brokers" by Dan Hamilton. So now, what are you reading? When I go to the bookstore I find that a lot of the titles in the Real Estate section are geared towards investors or FSBO's so I'm hoping you can give me some titles that I can go in and order. Thanks and go get 'em in 2009!

Hi Laura,

A fellow agent in my office was just singing the praises of "Shift".  I wanted to share the Ninja Selling books.  I don't know if you are familiar, but they have some fantastic insight.  Can't wait to see what other titles are posted.

Maybe it's just me- when I finally get away from the office I want to read something totally escapist- preferably fantasy. I would blush to tell you what I am currently reading- it sure ain't business!

I read a lot of blogs. I find you can learn tons from other real estate agents.

Laura, I am reading sell your home in any market -- 50 surprisingly simply strategies for getting top dollar fast.  There is some really good info in there but I figure that is the books that the FSBO are ready and I want to be their realtor in a month or two:-)

I'm in a book club and I have to say my favorite book we've read was "Water for Elephants." It was fantastic and has the best ending I've ever read. Sorry, I know it's not real estate related, but it's worth the read.

Well I prefer to read broad educational books. I started a tradition 21 years ago that continues to this day. For Christmas presents I buy all my relatives "The Uncle John Bathroom Reader". There's a new one every year. It remains my all time favorite.

I just started reading "The Millionaire Real Estate Agent".  I'll have to check out "Shift" after that.
