Treat Your Business Like a Business
A common mistake that new Realtors and even Realtors who have been in the business for a long time is they don't treat their business like a business. Real Estate allows you freedom and a wonderful lifestyle, but you better take the business part seriously.
This business will be great to you and spoil you rotten if you respect and treat it accordingly. New agents, if you are struggling and wondering why you arent' getting that listing and cant get that offer accepted, don't get discouraged but question what you can change to succeeed.
Einstein once said:
"The definition of insanity is doing the same thing over and over again and expecting different outcomes."
If you are doing something and nothing is coming of it. Stop! Throw another dart at the board. Farming is alot of doing the same things and it takes a while for you too gain ground and get responses, but if you have been sending out the same tired calenders and notepads for the last year and it hasn't netted you anything, its time to stop.
There are plenty of fresh ideas out there, you just have to find that right one(or some) that stick. Then when you are generateing leads and converting them, you know you can repeat that process and expect the same outcome!
