Living in Chattanooga and Real Estate

Chattanooga, TN, and the surrounding area is a great place to call home.  I have lived in the Mid-West, in different parts of the South East, and in Latin America, but I haven't found a city with such friendly people and with as much natural beauty as Chattanooga.  I am proud to sell homes in the city of Chattanooga, because it is such a good place to live.

This family friendly city has countless parks like Coolidge Park next to the river with a hand carved carosel; Miller Plaza with outdoor concerts (even during the work week); the Tennessee Riverpark stretches for 10 miles along the the TN river shore line and is equipped with a paved walking trail (great for riding bikes as well),  sereral different civil war parks (Point Park, Chicamaugua Battlefield, and Signal Point), and (one of our favorites) Cloudland Canyon State Park on Lookout Mountain.  You can gain easy access to the lakes and rivers through many public boat ramps and river parks if your desire is water sports.  For high adventure outdoorsmen, you can go white water rafting on the Ocoee River or canooing on the Hiwasee River.  My children love to visit the Tennessee Aquarium and the Discovery Museum as well (great places to go during the winter and summer months).  As the Chattanooga river front has developed over the past 15 years (starting with the construction of the Tennessee Aquarium), many great restaurants and much night life has moved into the downtown area on both sides of the Tennessee river.

If you are contemplating a move to smaller big city and are looking for a more reasonable standard of living, Chattanooga is the place to be.  Our home prices are lower than the national average, our property taxes are low, Tennessee does not have a state income tax, and new property tax laws are in the making that will fix property taxes for retirees.  The weather is also mild if you are trying to escape long and cold witners.  Come see what  Chattanooga has to offer.  For much more area information at your finger-tip go to www.NathanWalldorf.com
