My Homeowner's Association Has Its' Eyes On Your Trash

By
Real Estate Agent with RE/MAX Executives

It is not at all unusual for people to complain about restrictions placed on them by their homeowner association.  They do much more than collect your homeowner dues.

For example, here in Lake Ridge, it is a violation of our covenants to have trash containers stored in plain view of passersby.  They may be stored alongside a home if they are completely screened by evergreens or an enclosure approved by the Architectural Committee.

A trash can stored on a porch or carport is a violation.  Citations have been and will continue to be made by LRPRA

Since we are all interested in maintaining the market value and marketability of our property, it just makes sense for us all to "follow the rules.

My husband and I are 26 year Lake Ridge residents.  We understand and agree with the need for the covenants.  After all, we have owned 5 properties in Lake Ridge
