Hi Guys,

Bob, how come the rocks are still wet from the last  time? Are you sure that is why they are different color? Anyway, the job is looking very good. It won't be long now and we'll be seeing sill plates.

How is the Radon in your area? If they install a PVC pipe from below the slab, through the roof,  should Radon be a problem, it's nothing to add an inline exhaust fan. If they lay the pipe now it's a very cheap, but excellent solution for a potential problem.

Hi Steve ..When I asked the cement(concrete) guys about the color at the time the lead man told me it was moisture however you would make a good detective as the same thing was noticed by me.

I will tell you that a comparison was made by me and could not detect any difference in texture at that time so what would cause this color difference?

Also as you most likely know, concrete is the term that should have been used.

These learning experiances are why I'm glad to spend the time on this little project.

When I stop caring then old age has finally won.

One more post, to answer the radon question, the owner did not plan for this, however yes I did mention this to him just a couple of days ago as I was wondering the same thing.

By the way I like your questions.

Cement is a grey powder blended with fine and course aggregate and a little water to produce concrete.
