Sandhill Cranes in Kings Point

By
Real Estate Agent with A1 Connection Realty, Inc.
Living in Kings Point, the gated community within Sun City Center Florida, can have some rewarding consequences. A few weeks ago while going to visit a client in Kings Point, I came across a sight I have seen on a few occasions. Unfortunately, on those past occasions, I never had my camera available. I was lucky on this day. As I turned to go to their home, there in the road were 3 Sandhill Cranes. Just strolling along at their leisure. In Florida, you bcome accustomed to such events and quietly sit and wait for the local wildlife to move on. It's also fun to just watch them when you have the opportunity.

I happened to have my camera on this particulat day, and clicked away. I stayed in my car for fear that if I got out, it would scare them away. Although they didn't seem to be in a hurry to get out of my way.

I sat there for about 20 minutes watching them stroll along and snapped a few pictures. Enjoy!

HI Michael,

Yes, they spook very easily and I didn't want to ruin the moment. I enjoyed sitting there watching them go about their business.

Hi Paddy,

July isn't that bad down here. Actually sometimes it is hotter and more humid up north that time of year. Where is the wedding being held? If it is close enough we should meet for lunch.

Hi Laura,

Yes, it is nice to stop and appreciate our surroundings. We just don't do it often enough.

WOW, that is really cool. It looks like they weren't too afraid of you and that you were able to get pretty close. I've sat there for 20 minutes myself watching a bald eagle and sometimes wildlife is just better than any TV show out there ever could be.

Hi Todd,

For the most part they weren't concerned that I was in the area. However, I am not sure they would have remained as still and content had I stepped out of the car. Thanks for commenting.

Hi Regina,

Thank you for commenting. I have to say, I am blessed living here in Paradise. So many folks take the area, nature and the wildlife for granted. I am very happy here and so is the family.

Hi Hal, Great shots! Another perfect reason to live in Florida. We see so much wildlife here. Yesterday, traffic was stopped for 2 ducks just taking their time crossing the road.

Morning Connie,

No, they weren't afraid or threatened. I had the camera in the car because I was going to update some listing pictures.

Thanks for stopping by.
