San Antonio Traffic

I've driven in Tokyo, I've driven in Paris, I've driven in D.C., I've driven in New York City, I've driven in L.A. but by far the worst or craziest was in Valencia Spain. Litterally, you drive to get ahead. If you worry about the car next to, you will not get anywhere.  You make and take your path. It seems that everyone watches out for you, but you only can look ahead to see where you want to go and GO!, otherwise someone else will be there. OK, so what does that have to do with San Antonio, TX. I drove for 11 years from Del Rio Texas to Eagle Pass TX (60 miles each way) to teach.  I moved to San Antonio to get back to the city life and to cut the drive. Now it seems, eight years later, that the commute of 25 miles is taking upwards of an hour. So, what's the solution?  Move again. So, that is what is happening. Moving that 25 miles in towards the city (actually the med center) so that the commute is 5 minutes. How much more efficient my time at home will be. Come home (even lunch at home) and not be too tired to get stuff done around the house, and even have enough energy to cook a great meal. Save time, save money, save nerves, save wear and tear on car and body. A win/win situation, especially in these times with low interest rates.

Now to sit back and have a cool Margarita.
