The most inexpensive way to redecorate is move your furniture around. If you're getting ready to list your house, you might even remove some furniture to allow more space for buyers and friends to roam around. But, for fun and a new look, try using lamps from one room in another, or a small scatter rug change up. I like to hold on to stuff, too, because months or years from now, you can pull it out and WOW! there it is a new look AGAIN :) Color of course is key, at least for me - it can affect your mood. Pillows, pieces of fabric, quilts or throws are all possibilities.

Then, there are those projects I always thing I can do- like the clothes pin art in a shadow box on saw at TJ Maxx the other day, or those old wire coat hangers. Hmmm!

Whatever you do have fun! For me sometines just a thoroguh cleaning makes me feel like the room is new all over !

As you point out, there are many low cost/no cost ways to improve the appearance of a house (especially when it is for sale). We are fortunate to have many great resources for updating accessories on a budget in our area--HomeGoods is a personal favorite of mine.

Hi Janice--I like to hit the racks after the season or Holiday has ended.  This way, I have all new stuff for the next year.
