What Do Agents Need

By
Real Estate Sales Representative with AgentOwned Realty
I am just sitting here trying to think of what services agents need or don't have time to do that they should be doing on-line.

  • Do agents have time to sit and blog?
  • Research new technology that would increase their business?
  • Twitter?
  • Activerain?
  • make websites for each of their listings?
  • make virtual tours for thier listings?

What do you think agents need the most help with in promoting listings and themselves, post a comment and let me know.

They better make time for technology or they are going to eventually find themselves way way behind the pack...

Rick:

One of my goals is to hire a "ghost writer" for some of my blog posts. Since I'm a real estate agent that blogs (versus a blogger with a real estate license), I don't do a good job of devoting consistent time to blog posting.

Making websites with virtual tours can be built a highly-qualified assistant. I would like to add an assistant to my staff by the end of 2009.

I wouldn't be against having a centralized scheduling service to schedule showings for my listings and those that my buyers need to see with me.

David,

That is part of my research on this blog, I realize that some agents do not have time or the patience to do their blogging, but need to do this in our now internet world of Real Estate, my research is finding out what agents are willing to pay monthly for a blog/twitter ghost writer.  I have the technology and time to devote to this service and think it will help agents in their prospecting.

My experience is that when Ipost blogs written by ghostwriters I get little or no response because there is nothing of "me". It is our unique voice and personality that is so appealing. If Jason Crouch stated hiring a ghost writer he would loose his entire following...which is thousands world wide.

Rick,

Ghost posting I am not an advocate for at all.

Research technology, website and virtual tour work is all work that can be outsourced to get to the money tasks.

I mean this in only the most heartfelt way.

David my friend, before you act on that please call me:-)
