Why Should We Comment On Blogs?

By
Services for Real Estate Pros with RE/Advantage

I get asked all the time by my clients; "Why should I comment on blogs"? Well the answer is simple - Social Networking is built upon collaboration. The whole basis for Blogs and Social Networks is to build interactive conversation. The whole dynamic of the blogging world is to have casual conversation on topics you have in common. These conversations for some can lead to a business relationship later on. Blogging does not necessarily lead to instant leads, but it builds credibility. And the credibility you gain later leads to business.

But their is another plus side to commenting. Commenting on someones blog also brings you an inbound link back to your blog. If you remember my post a previous post "Link Popularity" I spoke of the importance of good linking.

So by commenting on other blogs you bring these inbound links back to your site. Also by commenting on relevant blogs, your inbound links will be considered by most search engines more important in your link popularity.

So the next time you are on a blog, leave a comment.  Remember comment on all types of blog.  Don't limit yourslef to only AR.  Get your self out there. You'll be suprised on how many people will enguage you back.

You can check out my blog at http://blog.readvantage.com, feel free to comment.  I'll do the same for you.

It comes down to I scratch your back and you will scratch mine.  In all seriousness though it is about building those relationships.

It is great to receive comments and to reciprocate.  I try to even comment on more than 10 a day if I have the extra time.

Mark-  One of the benefits of blogging is the opportunity to begin a dialogue.  We can't have that conversation, if it's all one sided.  Without interaction there is no networking.  If we're not going to comment, we may as well just go read a book.

I'm always a little 'tickled' when I get a comment, silly I know, but I really like connecting with people.

When I comment and blog regular at AR then suddenly I seem to have a little network circle around me. It's nice.  I love commenting anyway.

Hi, Mark.

I am new to ASctive Rain and new to blogging. I have learned so much but there is still so much to learn! Thanks for "spoon feeding" this piece of information.
