A MEET-THE-AGENT video is just as important as a business card

Services for Real Estate Pros with Theater of Homes

Theater of Homes feels that a MEET-THE-AGENT video is just as important as a business card.

A Theater of Homes® MEET-THE-AGENT video is a high-definition (HD) video introducing you as an agent. The video is typically about four minutes long and beautifully presents you as you want your present and future clients to see you. We can integrate still images you may have which capture "magic moments" about you. Your MEET-THE-AGENT video allows you to sell yourself and your services in a personal, comprehensive and extremely cost-effective way.

Then we prepare your MEET-THE-AGENT video for widespread internet distribution with iTunes, YouTube, Google Video, Yahoo Video, MySpace, and WellcomeMat. The key is your having our professionally produced video. We will provide you with a link you may paste into email messages to your present and future clients, and instantly they will be seeing your MEET-THE-AGENT video and most importantly, getting to know you; building that so very important relationship of trust.

Beautiful home, great presentation... but where's the agent?  I want to meet them!

Fast Response Kent and thanks for the comment.  Couple of things going on here.  First off I posted the wrong embed code... my fault.  When i went to fix it ActiveRain bombed on me.  Apperently ActiveRain doesn't like the Safari browser.  ActiveRain errors out eventually everytime I use Safari.  You would think I would learn by now.  So I had to start up Firefox and correct the post.  Also another annoyance is that I have to add text first in the WYSIWYG editor, save then re-edit using the HTML editor to embed the video code.  If I don't do it that way I loose my post.  Maybe it's a Mac thing.  So for those that subscribe you get a half post before i can finish fully.  Technology... We can do anything we can imagine... sometimes.  Thanks again for keeping me honest.

4 minutes of "all about me"?  That's the exact thing that most buyers are NOT interested in today.  They don't CARE about the salesperson.

They want information, they want to see properties.  The ME ME ME days of real estate are long gone I'm afraid.

Nice concept. Pauline might be right but I think a nicely done video marketing is a nice addition to a  business card. To say people do not like a video is like people do not care about business card.

Pauline, thank you for your comment.  You have a very interesting opinion.  I can't speak for your clients nor for your demographic.  I realize every market has it's nuances.  Marketing is a numbers game.  It always has been and it always will be.  Video can add a personal touch that works for some people.  Coupled with the internet a broker can leverage the numbers; gaining exposer.  Whether we want to accept it or not there are some fascinating observations surrounding humanities welcoming acceptance of video.  Groves of numbers are more likely to watch than to read.  Simplicity rules all.  convenience and ease appeal to the bulk.  Even video done poorly gets attention.  Some of the worst videos on the internet invoke conversation.  In fact, your post in the algorithmic of things helps promote this blog entry so that others will find it.  My point is that a well created video with interesting content, titled and tagged appropriately will find it's way through the internet.  Evidence?  Try typing in "Brita Arcuri" in a google search.

Our clients have found their video presentations to be very effective.  Video may not be for you nor should you feel obligated to embrace such technologies but, for the few that get it, I believe they will see the difference.

Again, Thank you.

Oh, I LOVE video and am investigating it right now in fact with a local provider for testimonials and home tours. I think it's definitely the wave of the future for real estate.

I absolutely do NOT believe though, that the "me, me, me... it's all about ME" approach that realtors have taken over many decades works anymore - in video, print or blogs.  Period.  NOBODY CARES ABOUT YOU (initially) on the web.  They care about information, properties, etc.

I think a more effective approach would be to use video for testimonials about how I benefitted and helped my clients in assisting them in finding the right property, rather than just talking about how wonderful I am and why I "love real estate" and all that B.S. that most people don't care about and which sounds phony anyway.

This is the typical Hobbs Herder approach to marketing, which may have worked in the 70s, but today I think it's a bit of a turnoff for buyers.  The LAST thing most buyers are looking for online is a salesman.

Thank you for responding Pauline.  You have a valid point.  I think the problem here is that we are putting too much attention on this particular video.  Who is to say that all MEET-THE-AGENT videos have to be cookie cutter.  Why couldn't we make a video for you addressing exactly what you want at the pace you want with testimonials from clients and more.  This particular video was created how our client wanted it.  We want you to succeed and we want your investment to pay you back exponentially.  Ultimately Theater of Homes wants you to look good.  But, Theater of Homes will do what you want.  This particular video demonstrates an unscripted interview type production.  We captured this and turned it around same day however, Theater of Homes has a track and dolly, jib, and TelePrompTer.  We have the capability to create a second by second structured video also.  We can shoot in studio or on location.  Theater of Homes is a full blown production company with a broker as it's founder.

I feel like a MEET-THE-AGENT piece is your personal webmmercail.  I personally think every professional, every business, and organization should have a webmmercial on their website.  I want to sharer this quick experience with you.

This past saturday my wife returns home from her weekly grocery shopping spree with containers of Driscoll's strawberries.  Upon putting away the berries my youngest exclaims "can I have some strawberries?"  This gets my attention and I enter the kitchen to see what he is talking about.  I see the berries in the fridge and ask my wife where did these come from?  Who has strawberries growing in February?  As my wife wash and prepared a container of strawberries for the family I grabbed the empty container and headed to the computer.  Turns out there was a web address on the container.  I wanted to know where and how these guy where growing strawberries in the winter.  I typed in http://www.driscolls.com and immediately the site loads and what do I find?  A video.  I learned in about a minute who, what, and where Driscoll's was.  I also found myself compelled to watch the whole video.  This also led me to explore the remainder of the site which in turn translates into a reduced bounce rate.  Who doesn't want that?  This farmer "gets it."

A webmmercial or MEET-THE-AGENT video is just a great opportunity to capture potential clients attention.  Even more wonderful is that this webmmercial can be modified and molded overtime as you discover what works and what is most effective for you.  It's personal.

Thank you Pauline for your contribution.
