Addison Pacesetters (the 50+ group) meet the first Wednesay of each month at Dunn Bros. Coffeehouse 
on Beltline Road and learn about the Town of Addison. This month, Mr. Matt McCombs, Management Analyst in the Finance Department, spoke to us.
Here are some interesting tidbits from his presentation:
Matt assists with the budget and with purchasing. His daily task include coordination and advertising of bids to ensure the bids are competitive. He makes sure that purchasing order requirements are met. He does strategic analysis of budget use. And he helps the town's departments to make sure they have all the resources they need.
Matt distributed copies of Urban Renaissance, the 2008-2009 Town of Addison Annual Budget Book. This book contains a wealth of information in an easy to read format. Yes! A budget that is readable! Really!
