Gift Certificates Step Aside, Something New Has Arrived!

Real Estate Agent with Coldwell Banker River Valley

Marriage counselor, interior designer, paint consultant, general contractor, babysitter, comedian, educator, community specialist, and most importantly friend.  In my ten years of real estate, my title has drifted back and forth amongst all of the above and probably a few I have forgotten.  As real estate consultants we wear many hats before reaching the closing table.  No doubt each of us could write a comical and heartwarming novel of our experiences.  The depth of the lives we touch every day is unknown to most, but a unique experience that helps us grow into better people and better professionals.  We have a great weight of responsibility to be celebrated at a successful closing, and hopefully a lifelong relationship.

This brings me to the subject at hand, the closing gift.  That perfect something that conveys the spirit of the relationship, and lifelong status you hope to sustain.  For years, as I struggled to balance between a career I loved, a marriage, and two babies back to back.  I rarely had time to seek out an appropriate closing gift; one that represented the individual client at hand.  I started with good intentions, finding gifts that fit each person. But as time moved on, and my client base grew, shopping was not in the cards.  Reluctantly, I settled for the infamous gift card.  Ciattis, our local, upscale Italian restaurant loved me!  Every three months or so, I checked the internet for real estate closing gifts, to no avail.  I wanted more than an average gift, and more than the standard gift basket or black and white artistic impression of the home.

Then, in 2005, unexpectedly diagnosed with a rare medical issue, I was instantly forced from the industry, to begin treatments that would last two long years.  Oddly enough, with everything going on, I kept thinking about the lack of an internet closing gift company specific to the needs of real estate agents, and their unique experience with clients and customers.  Alas, I set out to create just such a site.  On Friday I proudly launched www.gotchagifts.net.  I hope to bring a service to real estate agents in the same manner that I brought to my clients and customers in sales.  The satisfaction of providing a service and product to benefit others is huge.  Gotcha Gifts was named with the idea that you've got your clients, now keep your clients.  Use the closing gift as a celebration, but also as a marketing tool.  The items I have selected are unique, many one-of-a-kind, eco-friendly, beautiful pieces that will stand out in a home or garden.  The gift speaks to who they are and how much they mean to you.  The money must be spent.  Spend it in a meaningful fashion, and leave a lasting impression.  Have them delivered to their place of employment, and you may even pick up a referral!  Good luck, and thanks for your support.

I visited the website. I really like that there are eco-friendly ideas! I know a lot of my clients are very concerned with the environment. Great job!

Thank you, thank you, thank you.  It is so great to hear positive comments.  Although I have always loved sales, this project has my heart in a big way.  It really means a lot to hear your comments.

I will be adding a line of eco friendly glass goblets and tumblers this week.  They are beautiful, and made entirely of recycled glass.  Take care, and I sincerely hope you have a great year!
