- The title tag is very important. Why? Because search engines not only give it value in relation to optimization, SE's use it in their search results. Search on ANY search engine, and you'll see the content of this tag used in the anchor text of the links for each web site. Here is a little experiment. I understand that "Active Rain - Real Estate blog" is the first thing that comes up for all of our blog titles... Maybe this article will make its way to the AR Overseers ;-) Since that is the case you need to worry about the next 3-4 words. Because trust me Google, Yahoo and MSN (Hehe Like they are really much different or soon to be -> Microsoft in Talks to Buy Yahoo For $50 Billion USD) Anywaz they most likly factor that in and disregard that first part of your titles and their main focus is directed to "your title"...
