Is it a violation of RESPA to hold a real estate license in PA and also work for a loan modification company?

Don't know about PA but I have worked for a couple different finance companies at the same time I was selling Real Estate in SC. The finance companies would not let me do any work that involved mortgages because they are considered a conflict of interest and could bring on big problems. Don't know if that helps but that has been my experience.

I have seen alot of ads out there for agents to make money in loan mods... I had a guy call me and tell me that the would pay me for referrals....apparently it is big business now.
