Have you tried it yet? - eyejot.com - Great technology!

By
Real Estate Agent with Realty Professionals, Inc.

I wrote a blog several days ago about some new technology and I gave a brief introduction about eyejot.com.  You can create a video message and e-mail it to your customers, clients and family and if they have a camera and microphone they in turn can send one right back to you.  With the free service, you get to record upto 1 minute messages and they will be stored on their site for 30 days or you can purchase the pro package and you can record upto 5 minutes and they will be stored for an unlimited time.

I like that you do not have to load anything on your computer.  You don't have to do any downloading and take up any space on your system.  Plus you can embed these videos on your website or in a blog like I have done here.  Watch my video and send me a message back.

I am a Realtor in Searcy, Arkansas and I sell new homes, existing homes, commercial property, farms and land as well as manage and own rental properties. If you are looking for real estate for an investment or a home, I will be glad to assist you! You can call my personal cell number at 501-278-7659 or e-mail me at Larry@Searcy4Sale.com. Visit my website at http://www.searcy4sale.com

Larry, this is very cool. What type of camera do you recommend for your computer to be able to get the best quality. Your video looked great by the way. Awesome post!

I purchased the Microsoft LifeCam VX-5000. My first attempt with eyejot, I just used my video camera hooked up to my computer but it was bulky. I went to Staples and purchased one they had on sale and this camera has a built-in microphone so I don't have two things to worry about. The cost on this camera while it was on sale for $29 normally, I think it is $49. I would just buy one and try it. E-mail and text messaging has NO expressions and the receiveing party may interprut your message wrong, using video, they see your expressions and makes it more personal. I feel I will be using this more than straight e-mail.

Terri,  Yes this is one of the main reasons I liked it.  I would purchase the PRO package like I have because your video will stay up a long time.  The freebie service will only host it for 30 days.  You don't want your videos disappearing on your customers that may read your blogs or visit your website.

Hey Larry, I'm going to check it out, but can't you just make your video and post it on you tube and get the same result without having to pay?  Thanks again.  kevincavanaughonline.com

That is true. Let's take a look at that. You will need a digital video camera to record to. Then you will need to have a computer software to produce it (yes, most computer have windows movie maker), then you record the video onto your software program, then you edit it, then you publish or save it, then you have to upload it to youtube or googlevideo etc... Then your done. Or you can click on eyejot, record your message and send immediately. Give it a try. I have done the other many times and this is quicker. Also, I think the quality is better on eyejot. Thanks!

It's very cool.... I've been using the Pro version for awhile...   it's nice to be able to send a web page to a client with me on the top explainig whatever I need to explain to them!  It's faster than typing!

Plus... of course... I'm always trying to extol the virtues of video, so it's just another way for people to see how helpful video can be in business relationships.

Larry, I liked your video and thought it had good quality. I am definitely going to have to check into eyejot to see if this will work for me. I have a digital camera that I can supposedly record up to 60 seconds of video, so I will use that and give it a try. Not sure how the quality will be.

Fred, Thanks for the comments.  I do feel there alot of potential with this product.

Thanks Barbara, you need to do this.  You can even put a video on your website as an intro.  Look at my website under the search portion.  I know I need to put it towards the top but have to try some things first.  YEAH! I am a featured blog on the e-pro group! Cool!

Deborah, Troy & Don, I would give it a try and see if your recipients like it better.  As Fred said above and is true with me a s well, I can talk faster than I can type. HA HA
