Okaloosa County in Northwest Florida is going to have a problem in the next few years. We are going to have a shortage of housing! The military installations in our area will have an influx of 4500 additional personnel to coincide with the 2005 Base Realignment and Closure Commission (BRAC). This means there will be an estimated total population increase of 11,000 people by 2016. At our two installations, Eglin AFB and Hurlburt Field AFB, the current government housing availability will actually decrease by 573 homes located on base. This presents an incredible opportunity for our off installation Real Estate Community. We encourage referrals from all of you out there who have former customers coming to our area. Kay and I have lived here over 40 years and we are both from military families. Our company also has a very strong and reliable property management department. Our most popular and affordable project right now is Meridian Square Townhomes located just outside of Hurlburt Field AFB. I have been involved in the project since it was just dirt. We have over 40 units available as of this date.

WOW, what an influx of people! Are they still sure that this many people are going to arrive with the new administration talking of cutting back on the military? I personally think this is a mistake and we should give our military all the support and help we can!
They gave us our freedoms, that is the least we can do for them,

The Air Force's first Joint Strike Force Fighter is planned to arrive at Eglin AFB in March of 2010 with the last of the 113 planes to arrive in June of 2016. There will be a gradual influx of about 2300 personnel accompanying the planes. The Army Special Forces (2200 personnel) are planned to arrive to our North County area by 2011.
