What it Means To Live In Port Royal

As I was going through all of the information about Beaufort, SC I realized there simply isn't enough about Port Royal.

Port Royal is one of Beaufort's most treasured communities. It has an eclectic feel that attracts a most unique population.

With Port Royal's "mixed-used" zoning capabilities many artist and small business owners are able to operate directly out of their residence.

I lived in Port Royal for three lovely years. My favorite activity was walking down to the Sands Beach. It was always the perfect way to begin, or end a busy day. On my way to The Sands, I would drop in Old Post Office Coffeehaus, another favorite.

Old Post Office Coffeehausis located between 9th and 10th street. There is always something going on and plenty of wonderful conversations to be had on the porch or inside.

Many afternoons I would ride my bike to Dockside Seafood Market to grab "right off the boat" fresh seafood.

If I didn't feel like cooking, I would stop in Moondoggies or hop over to McPherson's for BBQ.

I loved spending time with friends down at 11th Street Dockside.

The beauty of Port Royal is that there is a little something for everyone. There is Lil Piece of Heaven Tea Room which is home to the most amazing story tellers around!

Not to mention the festivals!!! I loved being in the middle of The Soft Shell Crab Festival and the many others that took place in the heart of Port Royal.

So come visit this quaint little village, you will be oh so glad you did~!
