I had the opportunity, and pleasure to speak with some residents of Spring Creek, a Traditional Neighborhood Development, in southeast Colorado Springs. This is what we talked about:
I am speaking with Eric and Tamara Brown, residents of Spring Creek, and I'd like to ask you, first of all, how long have you lived here in Spring Creek?
We've been here for about 2 months.
Where are you from?
We're originally from Denver.
What attracted you to this area?
It was pretty much, my place of employment is about 15 minutes away from here. And our former house that we had, it was 15 minutes away from here also, in the other direction, so going from home to work we saw this neighborhood coming up. And it's just a better locale for both us, for both of us, in regard to getting back and forth from work.
Was there anything about this particular community instead of another type of housing development that you liked?
John Laing homes (Tamara). It was pretty much the John Laing home that they feature here. The particular home that we bought, it's pretty much germane to this neighborhood, and it's pretty much the design of the home. So it was the neighborhood, basically.
Do you have children?
Yes we do.
So I imagine, they're able to play without having to worry about cars, a lot of traffic ...
Yes, considering that the park is across the street. Again, as far as the yards, the front and back yards, there's a big zero scape feature to those, but then there's the park across the street that allows the kids to play without missing out on their backyard.
And what school do they go to?
Right now they're in pre-school, which is, again, this neighborhood is pretty much central to everything we want to do: to their school, to the grocery store, to where I coach football, ... it's just the location is perfect for us as a family.
Where do you coach football?
Memorial Park.
And there is one other question that I wanted to ask you, with regards to this proximity, how do you like the area in terms of all there is to see and do?
Speaking from where our particular house is located, the view is phenomenal. It's something that we didn't really consider. We were looking at house, first, and what the house was going to do for our family. The view was just a bonus. We feel blessed that we were able to do what we did in purchasing this home.

Good. I want to thank you for taking the time to do this interview because I wanted to feature some of the people who actually live here, and get some of the impressions they have of living here.
Thank you.
