$15,000 Tax Credit Dropped ??

By
Real Estate Agent with CENTURY 21 Regency Realty

$790 Billion Economic Stimulus Legislation,

$13 a week more in people's paychecks this year expected.

$15,000 tax credit for anybody buying a home over the next year was dropped.

Officials estimated about $13 a week more in people's paychecks this year when withholding tables are adjusted in late spring. Next year, the measure could yield workers about $8 a week. Critics say that's unlikely to do much to boost consumption. Oh Boy, I cant wait.

A $15,000 tax credit for anybody buying a home over the next year was dropped, instead, first-time home buyers could claim an $8,000 credit for homes bought by the end of August. This is only a 500 dollar difference from what we had last year, under the previous administration. Without a reduction in capitol gains we are not getting much help in the housing market. Interest rates at all time lows, but no one is buying. Do we really wonder why.

Car buyers could deduct the sales tax they paid on a new car, but not the interest on their car loans.

Oil reached a 10 year low today a 33.90 a barrel and gas has increased for the past 15 days, Wonder why ?

This is the change we can believe in. We are not hearing a lot about the 350 Billion which was left to the new administration to be spent any way they want. Add this to the total of the new bill we are well over a Trillion Dollars without a lot of help for our Industry.

As the government continues to spend our tax dollars, our national debt continues to rise. To ever balance the budget, they will need to raise taxes. That is next on the list. Also nothing to fix the So called social security problem. Will it be there when you retire.

This is a spending bill with very little stimulus. Most of the money is spent on government spending programs. Do we really trust the government to spend our tax money.

They can keep it and I will take my chances and continue to work for a living.

I owe, I owe, its off to work I go, because I do not want to be bailed out.

 God Bless you all.

Very Respectfully,

Karina Morgan

That is disappointing but hopefully something will start to kick in soon. They need to do everything humanly possible to establish a firm bottom for Real Estate. If prices would stop going down the rest of the economic world would look a  lot better.

I can not believe they decided to drop the tax credit. These greedy dirtbags in Washington only care about one thing, themselves. Greed has got this country to where it is today, and they only way to end it is to put some normal Americans into power, which will never happen b/c we don't have millions and billions of dollars to run a campaign. So my thoughts are, keep working, what else can we do. The government will do as much to us as we let them. When are people going to stand up for whats right, and kick these pieces of sh** politicians to the curb.

What exactly is getting stimulated with this stimulus?   It's look like a rougher road ahead for real estate.
