First Time Homebuyers

By
Real Estate Agent with Solid Source Realty

When I first got into rea estate, a friend of mine told me that first time homebuyers would be the hardest buyers to work with.  I thought, how could that be?  They are new to this, they will just sit back and enjoy the ride, and educate themselves as they go.  I still thought this, up until the last buyers I had.  They made me see what this friend of mine was talking about.  I am not sure if its because they are first time home buyers, or because they are just this way.  They are the most wishy-washy people.  They want this house, they want this area...then, they go to sleep and wake up and want the total opposite.  First time homebuyers are more of a challenge, I am having to educate them as we go on, and having to advise them to choose a certain area, and then find the house.  Although, first time homebuyers are a challenge, the reward to see them at closing, getting the keys to there first home, is definatly worth the ride with these buyers!  Nothing better than to see the excitement of someone that owns there own house for the first time!!!

That is exactly the same way I feel about first time home buyers. They are actually the best to work with because they have so much more excitement and most don't have a pre-determined idea of the way it should be! The market isn't the same as it was 5 years ago and a lot of things have changed, but a seller or a buyer that did real estate then now thinks it will be exactly the same. The first time home buyer doesn't have that pre-conceived notion about it and it actually makes them easier to work with.
