I am passionate about life. Life and everything it contains for me. This is nothing new. I've had a zest for life since I was a very, very young child. My mom will vouch for me on that.
Perhaps a glimpse of my license plates will show you what I mean.
I have had the license plate that reads LVNSGR8 for about 20 years now. I wanted one that would tell something about me. Of course, I thought of Livings Great. Shortly after receiving my plates I realized that it also stood for Lovings Great and Leavings Great.
I embrace all three. Certainly living is great (we all know it is almost always better than the alternative) while loving is also great. What would our lives be like without love. Then considering how much I love to travel, of course leaving is great (and so is returning) came to mind.
The other license plate represents my love of the earth. Following a trip to Antarctica I knew that it was very important to me to do whatever I could to preserve this wonderful place where we all live. What I saw in Antarctica strengthened my belief in the effect we have on our environment. Our world is such a wonderful place and beyond that it is our home. We depend on it and need to preserve it in every way possible. One of the things I did was to purchase a hybrid car.
Perhaps I am using the word love too frequently for some. That cannot be helped. Love has embraced me throughout my life beginning with parents that raised four daughters and doted on each and every one of us. Family always came first. Their best gift to each of us was the three sisters they gave us.
Growing up I knew that I wanted a family. Although I hoped for five or six children I was fortunate to have two sons and a daughter, all healthy and wonderful. Now my family has grown and grown and with it my heart has grown just as much.
Through the years I have had the good luck to live in places far and wide, travel to all of the 50 states (some many times over), spend time in about 40 countries (some time and again), and been to six out of the seven continents.
Life has been good to me. I've had other interesting jobs at different times of my life before I became a REALTOR. That seems to be the right fit for me. There have been times when I've thought of not working any more but than the phone rings or I receive an e-mail and someone wants to begin the search for a place here at Lake Anna. My adrenaline kicks in and I'm into problem solving. Can I find the right spot for them? That's my challenge and I love it.
My life is not perfect. It has had its ups and downs. As they say, that's life. My gratitude is huge because my life has had so many more ups than downs and I know it. It is filled with a loving husband, relatively good health, a home in a spot that I love, things like Active Rain that has introduced me to the fun of blogging and gotten me hooked once again on photography, friends that bring joy to my life, and an ongoing zest for adventure.
How can I not be passionate about this wonderful thing called life?
