Alliance Entertainment has signed a purchase agreement for nine acres of land off I385 in Simpsonville according to the Greenville News (*Resources). Alliance plans on building a theatre, called Great Escape theatres, in Simpsonville.
The company has received permisssion from the city, however, are still doing due diligence on the Simpsonville parcel. If everything goes well the theatre could be opened by Thanksgiving of 2009. The planned theatre would offer 14 screens and seat roghly 2400 people.
I think this would be a great offering and investment in the community of Simpsonville. People from Mauldin, Simpsonville, and Fountain Inn have to travel to Woodruff road for the nearest theatre.
