Since I'm the first to complete your poll, might I ask what you are using Twitter for? Feel free to follow me on Twitter http://twitter.com/KimberlyCameron

I find it to be a necessary evil, part of doing business, a micro blog that I update my status using www.ping.fm (updating Twitter, LinkedIn and Facebook concurrently).

I have my Twitter hooked up to Facebook, Active Rain, and all my other social media networking sites. Every time I have an article published somewhere, I have tweets automatically generated that tell everyone about it with a tinyurl. It's like real-time advertising. I also follow several hundred people and follow what they have to say. Predominantly people I follow have something to do with SEO, blogging, or real estate in other markets. I find there is great synergy by being in touch with people on Twitter. I also do not keep it 100% business. People have to know who you are, in my opinion, so I make comments via Twitterberry or online to also keep people in the loop about what I may be doing with kids, etc.

I really love Twitter :-)

I like Chritanne's idea above....so far, I have just been tweeting what I am up to...I really can't imagine anyone cares, but I am working my way into it...Not sure what it should be doing for me, but willing to survive the learning curve to hopefully get some business!

Newly signed up on Twitter, not too sure of all the bells and whistles. Believe it is used for business, social, and personal.

Words directly from their website it states; "People are eager to connect with other people and Twitter makes that simple. Twitter asks one question, "What are you doing?" Answers must be under 140 characters in length and can be sent via mobile texting, instant message, or the web. In countries all around the world, people follow the sources most relevant to them and access information via Twitter as it happens-from breaking world news to updates from friends."

When I post listing on certain a website that posting will link to Twitter with only making sure a box is checked. I believe it to be future success, still learning!

Sean, OK since this is a poll, I get to register my vote as not currently using Twitter. I'll park here though cause I REALLY want to learn of its usefulness. I have heard some that the relationships did lead to some business. I also am one, currently at least, that says WHO CARES about what I am currently up to? I usually avoid necessary evils myself and find better things to do with my time.

I use Twitter to mention what I'm doing in business, a few personal things and when I post to blogs.  Web traffic appears to have increased due partly to twitter.

I am slowly working my way into Twitter as a business tool, but currently it is 75% completely personal/social as I follow Jimmy Fallon (I have even conversed with him a couple times, which is cool 2 me), Dave Matthews (who I must admit I have a mancrush on...I'm a groupie...moving on...), Shaquille O'neal, Tina Fey and Lance Armstrong.

I am listening to some very credible and interesting local business leaders and innovators.

Please stop by and join my twitter and check out some of the folks I am following.
