Property managment companies are being hit hard by the lack of reservations, they had hopes that the old days will be back with people renting months before there vacations, sorry for them but not so. They are making so many cuts said one maintenance man that they even have went so far as taking away the coffee and water machines and mileage cuts from 44.5 cents to 38.5 cents per mile on there own vehicles used in company work. He said they have not had a raise in gas since 2005, since then we have had 4.00 a gallon prices but they don't remember that far back, the normal at this time per federal government is 58.5 cents per mile. He said they also cut retirement from 3% to 1% contributed by company, and also stated no raises like promised for the first of the year, as many worked all year with out one. He said some people have been cut to 32 hours, many can't live with pay cuts like that and will have to leave, others will give them what they are paying for nothing, slow service and lazy man power. Having had the best real estate blitz in the last few years you would think they might have set aside a few dollars for their employee's but with cuts like this its only going to effect the bottom line, how your vacation property will be cared for and how it will rented.
