Inexpensive Closing Gift & Big Surprise

By
Real Estate Agent with Keller Williams Realty

When we have a closing, my husband and I will go to the home prior to it and place a nice inexpensive bathroom trashcan that holds 2-4 towels (depends on how many are in the family), 2-4 wash cloth, clear shower curtain, bar of ivory soap, tube of toothpast, a small area rug (neutral color). Most families we deal with are from out of state and most of the time everything has been packed. This way they at least get to take a shower and they do not have to worry about trying to find these items. We try to keep everything inexpensive and neutral but yet functional since we are not trying to decorate the new house. It does surprise our buyers alot and you can see the appreciation.

Thank you for the helpful ideas.  Something we have been doing is pizza for people for when they are moving in.
