Richard, this is a good one and good timing on the shot. This guy doesn't even need a co-pilot.

This is really getting scary. A long time ago, a friend who is into falconry was called down to Dover Air Force Base to see if his falcons could help control the bird populartion that was interfering with the engines of those huge planes.

That is an awesome picture. How did you get the bird to wait until you got the shot. If I try to take a photo like this, all you can see is the sky, the bird is long gone.

Mike, Every once in a while I get lucky with animal shots.

Kevin, I couldn't see it at the time but you're right, the flaps are down for a landing.

Naoma, I stood my ground and he/she missed.

Midori, I'll bet a lot of people think about that.

Konnie, The dock was kind of littered with bomblets.

Janice, I've seen shows on falcons being used and they're very effective.

Charles, There's only one bird in this shot but trust me, he wasn't alone on the dock.

Julie, I usually don't do very well getting them in flight but this one did come out pretty well.

Lynn,  Pretty hard to take a good shot wearing a hat. Sometimes you just have to take one for the team.

Anne, My camera can take six shots a second. Some of it was timing, some of it was location and a lot of it was luck.

Jim, I'm pretty hard of hearing and didn't know there was a kid behind me on the dock dropping bread.
